A former co-worker of Mr Sithelo Esihle Mzwandile Mathenjwa (37), Mr Absalom Masuku, was arrested on 13 March and remanded on bail on 22 March.
Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, spokesman of the Standerton Police, confirmed the arrest and said Mr Masuku was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
