The Regional Executive Committee (REC) of the ANC met on 27 March to finalise the appointment of a new Lekwa Mayor.
According to Ms Lindiwe Ntshalitshali, provincial spokesman, the REC has been meeting since 22 March.
“As soon as everything is in order, we will announce the final outcome,” she said.
