Four men robbed a local shop owner in front of her 10-year-old son at the Oriental Plaza on 29 March.
According to police, the suspects stole a cell phone, airtime and cash of about R5 000.
The woman, Ms Dam Chen, and her son were inside the shop when one suspect came in to buy airtime, to the value of R6, and enquired about a charger.
He returned a few minutes later to buy more airtime and insisted that he had left his carry bag.
The second suspect then came in, pretending to ask for help.
When Ms Chen went to help him, he allegedly pulled a gun, demanding her silence and cooperation.
“They pointed two firearms to both sides of my head,” Ms Chen said.
