Troika and Municipal Manager are back on duty

Municipal Manager, Ms Gugu Mhlongo-Ntshangase, who was put on special leave on 15 March, has also returned to her duties.

The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the ANC rescinded its decision on 12 April to recall the troika and municipal manager.

The troika consisting of Mr Linda Dhlamini, Executive Mayor, Ms Harriet Khotha, Speaker, and Ms Mapaseka Molaba, Chief Whip, were recalled by the ANC Regional Executive Committee on 18 March.

Municipal manager, Ms Gugu Mhlongo-Ntshangase, who was put on special leave on 15 March, has also returned to her duties.

The South African National Civic Organisation, Sanco, as well as nine ANC branch chairmen, welcomed the decision.
