The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) officially opened its branch in Ermelo on Wednesday, 18 April.
The party also introduced its new office bearers in the region.
Pastor JJ Scholtz is the new chairman and has lived in Ermelo for more than 50 years.

They will also be joined by Ms Anet Meintjies, who is the intercessor.
Party members were joined by ACDP provincial leader, Dr Nico Coetser.
Pastor Scholtz said the party is here to provide solutions to problems the community is currently facing.
He further said the party is not here to prod other political parties, but to uphold its Christian values as they go about fulfilling their mandate.
“We will be working closely on the front line with the community to address the numerous issues facing the town and surrounding areas.”
The party will be opening branches in all the towns of Msukaligwa.
