Lekwa Municipality’s Executive Mayor, Mr Linda Dhlamini tabled a draft of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget for the 2018/2019 financial year on 18 April, which must be circulated for public participation.
It was presented at a special council meeting that took place at the municipal council chamber.
According to the document, the budget is aligned to Lekwa’s IDP with regard to its vision and mission, corporate values, key performance areas and key focus areas.
The budget was drawn up in line with guidelines set by political leadership and reflects the municipality’s determination to reduce poverty, expand the economy and build and maintain infrastructure.
