Ms Marietjie Fourie, Ward 28 DA councillor in Bethal, warned those living in Bethal Rand, the area at the station, and the Bokke streets’ water problems are not over.
“The Department Water and Sanitation of Govan Mbeki Municipality said the problem at the NBO reservoir would not be resolved today, however, water tankers would be dispatched around Ext 3 and 8 for the supply of water.”
Ms Fourie further said parts of the CBD and surrounding areas must brace themselves for another night without electricity.
“The minisub is not on site yet. 6-7 hours to replace when it arrives. It’s getting late now, it’s highly possible that you will have to go another night without electricity,” said Ms Fourie.
