Mayflower Police arrested a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman for possession of marijuana on the Waverly and Dundonald road on Saturday, 6 May.
“During the search, they found a blue bag under clothes with marijuana wrapped in brown tape concealed inside. The marijuana weighed 2,6kg with an estimated street value of R3 000,” Const Ulta said.
The suspects appeared in the Mayflower Periodical Court on Monday, 7 May.
The woman was released due to insufficient evidence, while the man was granted bail of R500.
His next appearance in court is on 20 June.
