Noelle Sivalingum speaks for the needy
“I got involved purely by chance after noticing a needy, neglected animal.”
Ms Noelle Sivalingum of Florapark is no stranger to voluntary work with her strong, moral convictions.
“It seems to be ingrained in many to assume that someone else will do it,” she said.
Her involvement with the South African Women’s Federation and crisis centre led to joining forces with the local SPCA as well.
“I got involved purely by chance after noticing a needy, neglected animal.”
She contacted Ms Jenneth Geel of the Highveld Ridge SPCA and is predominantly involved with fundraising, as well as being in the early stages of field work.
Ms Sivalingum strongly believes that the community should not look at the organisation purely as place for damaged goods, while her commitment to community work also extends to the elderly and children.
