Water back on at Retsibile and Ward 8

“We are glad we have water and hope the problem does not reoccur,” he said.

The Ward 8 councillor and principal of Retsibile Primary School, Mr Tornado Nkambule, confirmed on 4 June the water was turned back on.

The situation lasted for three weeks and according to Mr Nkambule, numerous attempts were made to resolve the matter.

“We are glad we have water and hope the problem does not reoccur,” he said.

“Initially we were directed to address the matter to Ms Harriet Khotha, speaker of the council, but that proved fruitless,” Mr Nkambule also said.

According to him, Ms Khotha was unavailable.
