Parking at police station and crèche in Standerton poses difficulty

“Municipal workers arrived here last week, just looked and did nothing before leaving,” a policeman said.

The Lekwa Municipality is apparently failing to address the water leaking in Charl Cilliers Street which has an effect on parking at a crèche and the town’s police station.

The water flows from Charl Cilliers Street onto Schwickard Street until it reaches Coligny Street.

“Municipal workers arrived here last week, just looked and did nothing before leaving,” a policeman said.

The Standerton Advertiser tried to get comment from Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, spokesman of the Standerton Police, as to how long the problem has been going on and was informed that he is currently on leave.
