eMbalenhle foundation gives back to the youth

Sign petition and help foundation to keep community centre open.

eMBALENHLE – The Nkosinathi Da Poet Foundation (NDP) celebrated Youth Day by performing a musical theatre and traditional dancing at eMba Mall on Saturday, 16 June.

Mr Nkosinathi Hleza, founder of NDP, also sold his album, Izwi Le Ndoda Engenamali, and poetry books to raise funds.

The foundation spoilt children with cakes and ice cream.

NDP opened a community centre in Extension 14 where they groom poets, actors, dancers and netball players.

The name of the community centre is NDP eMba Paradise and they are planning on beginning a support group as well to reduce the number of suicides in the area.

They will have talks with the youth coordinator of the Govan Mbeki area, Mr Gracious Shabangu, Ms Esther Zwane of the ANC office and the former mayor of Govan Mbeki Municipality, Ms Flora Maboa-Boltman.

“We also help each other with schoolwork at eMba Paradise,” said Mr Hleza.

He thanked his sponsors who made the Youth Day celebrations possible and urged people to sign his petition at https://bit.ly/2KePHbi to enable him to keep the community centre open.
