Get up to speed with new Sassa card

New beneficiaries must either choose between the new card or a direct deposit into their bank account.

Judging by the number of grant beneficiaries queuing for payments, the differences in the new Sassa card need to be scrutinised.

According to Sassa’s website, the new card is a debit card and will work quite the same as the old one, except for not being operational at cash pay points.

The Cash Paymaster Services-system will not be able to read the new card.

Cash beneficiaries can continue to use the old card only for as long cash payments remain an option.

New beneficiaries must either choose between the new card or a direct deposit into their bank account.
