Truck driver dies, bus driver critical after head-on collision in Kinross
The bus driver is in a critical condition and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Gauteng by ER24.
KINROSS – The R29 road between Kinross and Leandra has been reopened for traffic.
The road was closed after a truck and a Megabus collided head-on at about 6.30am this morning, 17 September.
The truck driver died in the accident.
The bus driver is in a critical condition and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Gauteng by ER24. She was alone in the bus at the time of the crash.
According to Mr Alf Byleveldt from Jelani Security, the road has been cleared, but the wreckage of the truck is still being recovered from a ditch next to the road.
