Alleged drug dealers’ case postponed

Mr Jeff Onuoha remains in custody.

SECUNDA – The trio who were arrested for dealing in drugs on 12 August, Messrs Japhet (Jeff) Chiebuka Onuoha (32), Therandran Frank Naidoo (36) and Ms Belinda Margaret Swart (49), re-appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 21 September.

Their case was postponed to 9 November so that the court can have the forensic report.

Members of the Mpumalanga Hawks South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau, the Secunda Dog Unit and Crime Intelligence followed up on information and arrested the three between Evander and Secunda.

The police found crystal neth to the value of R31 000 hidden under the front passenger seat of the Fortuner in which the three were travelling.

Mr Onuoha was re-arrested on 16 August just after he was granted bail when officials connected him with a case of dealing in drugs in Vanderbijlpark in September 2015.

He remains in custody.
