Netherland Park Secondary School awarded their best achievers for the 2018 year in a prize giving award ceremony at their school hall on Thursday, 11 October.
Sinethemba Nkosi (Gr 8), Lusanda Nkosi (Gr 9), Nobuhle Nqotheni (Gr 10), Nhlakanipho Mtambo (Gr 11) and Nompilo Mabuza (Gr 12) received the Dux floating trophies in their respective grades. Olwethu Yende and Nothando Shongwe were the most outstanding personalities in the junior boy and girl division. Siyabonga Hlatshwayo and Amanda Matheba got the same award in the seniors category.
Miyelani Mdluli (Gr 8), Zimele Vilakazi (Gr 9), Tumelo Hlatshwayo (Gr 11) and Nontobeko Mbokane (Gr 12) were awarded prizes for the best progress.
Londiwe Zikalala received the best creative writing prize in the junior section while Lusanda Nkosi and Diana Mnguni took the prize in the senior section.
John Mdladla concluded the awards when he received a half honorary award for excelling in school and extra curricular activities.
