Famsa receives dignity boxes at Walker Park

Famsa will be hosting dignity box workshops every Saturday in November at Mangoliso Craft Shop.

EVANDER – The Walker Park Ladies Committee handed over 116 dignity boxes to Famsa on Saturday, 20 October. ‘

A golf day was held to raise funds to fill the boxes. Ms Rina Louw and Ms Tracy Keen-Horak were present on the day to receive the boxes that will be donated to the Thuthuzela Rape and Crisis Centre at Evander Hospital.

Famsa is aiming to collect a total of 500 boxes by 10 December and asks the community and businesses in the area to donate and assist.

They have a total of 126 dignity boxes and have a long way to go in order to reach their goal.

Sixteen Days of Activism against violence against women and children begins on 24 November and ends on 10 December.

Famsa will be hosting dignity box workshops every Saturday in November at Mangoliso Craft Shop.
