Fire brigade comes to the rescue of trapped kitten in Secunda
Resident happy that cat is save
SECUNDA – Municipal firefighters were the heroes for man and animal on Wednesday, 24 October.
According to Ms Hanita Makan, her dog chased a roaming cat up a tree in their yard during the night and by morning, the cat was still trapped on a very thin and flimsy branch.
Residents advised her to phone the fire brigade who came to the kitty’s rescue.
“Thank you so much Govan Mbeki Municipal Fire Brigade,” exclaimed Ms Makan.
“Thought that with all the tough work they do like extinguishing fires, saving lives and tending to accident scenes, they will not have time to do this small service. I am pleasantly surprised to see chivalry is not dead.”
The cat was released once it was safely on the ground.
