Lightning strikes palm tree in Secunda

SECUNDA – Lightning struck a palm tree in a yard in Witzenberg Street, in Secunda this afternoon, 31 October.

The home owner was not at home when the tree caught fire and emergency workers had to gain access from a neighbouring yard to extinguish the flames before the house caught fire.
