Six suspended Standerton police officers back on duty

They allegedly robbed the place of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Altogether six Standerton Police officers, who were suspended in connection with an armed robbery at a local shop, are back on duty.

According to the prosecution, the matter was struck off the roll, pending further investigation.

The officers were arrested on 10 April and made their first appearance in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 11 and 12 April.

Bail was set at R1 000 each.

The investigation was led by the Hawks in conjunction with the Standerton Police.

The men in blue were accused of impersonating South African Revenue Services’ officials and subsequently of robbing the shop on 7 January last year.

They allegedly robbed the place of an undisclosed amount of cash.
