Pastors pray for learners and teachers ahead of exams

“We are asking God to protect our learners and teachers through it all and help guide our children through their studies.”

The councillor of Ward 3, Ms Mapaseka Molaba, along with the pastors fraternity, held a prayer day for learners and teachers at the Stanwest Hall on 18 October.

The schools in question were Khula-Sakhile Secondary School, Stanwest Combined School and Azalea Combined School.

“We have seen a lot of violence in our schools from teachers and learners,” Ms Molaba said.

“We are asking God to protect our learners and teachers through it all and help guide our children through their studies.”

According to her, they are expecting a 100% pass rate from matriculants this year.

She also said there must be a significant reduction in teenage pregnancies and drug use in schools.

“We want to produce academics who will go and be a positive influence in the world.”
