Help Famsa by filling a Dignity Box

John Dory's and Mongoliso help with boxes

SECUNDA – Famsa will be offering workshops to help those interested in creating a Dignity Box.

The Dignity Box Project was the brain-child of Ms Rina Louw, a social worker at Famsa, to reach out to survivors of trauma and abuse.

These boxes will contain toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, toiletpaper, soap, shampoo, sanitary pads, roll-on, a facecloth, a panty, something sweet and a personal note of encouragement.

Famsa is taking hands with Mongoliso and John Dory’s where workshops will be hosted and volunteers can make up and create the boxes together.

The workshops hosted at Mongoliso will be every Saturday in November from 9am to 12pm and at John Dory’s in Secunda Mall on Tuesday, 27 November at 11am.

Everyone is welcome to attend these workshops and boxes will be provided at John Dory’s, but you need to donate the contents.
