Five armed men robbed Ackermans Store in Charl Cilliers Street on 22 November.
According to the Standerton Police, the men made their getaway in a charcoal VW Polo.
“The robbers walked into the shop carrying what looked like cooler boxes,” Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer, said.
A woman was admitted to the Standerton Hospital after one of the gunmen struck her on the head with a firearm.
The incident happened around 11am.
The police, K9 unit and Kasselman Security Services (KSS) got word that the suspect fled towards Thuthukani.
They then gave chase all the way and drove around the area to no avail.
The Standerton Advertiser tried to ascertain if anything were stolen and Capt Nhlabathi promised on 22 and 23 November to get back to us.
Calls on 26 November went unanswered.
