
eMBALENHLE – A tavern was robbed in Extension 25 at about 11pm on Friday, 30 November.
According to police, the tavern owner was inside his house when he instructed his son to close the tavern.
It is alleged that after a few minutes, his son came back with a known customer who then pointed a firearm at him and demanded the family to lie down.
Const Busi Mthethwa, police spokesman, said the suspect ransacked the house and took an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, cell phones and alcohol.
No arrests have been made as the case is under investigation.
