Reward offered for information – Criminals kill cattle on farm in Kinross

“This is the 12th cow that is slaughtered on the farm this year and the perpetrators are very cruel. They cut the cattle’s heels and slaughter in the field,” said Mr Riaan Kruger who works on the farm outside Kinross. “They slaughtered six cattle last year and the seventh one was still alive when I found her. She was walking on her stumps and I had to shoot her.”

KINROSS – A farmer made a gruesome discovery Friday morning, 30 November that another one of the cattle on the farm where he works, was slaughtered the previous night.

He is offering a reward of R1000 to anyone with information about the slaughter.

Mr Kruger had to bottle-raise a calf because the mother was killed.

Six cattle were slaughtered in 2017 on this farm and the criminals also hacked off the heels, took the meat and left the remains in the field.

Mr Kruger opened a case at Kinross Police and urged anybody with information to contact him at 072 827 3911.
