Three cases of sexual assault over festive season
In three of the sexual assault incidents the victims were minors aged between 10 and 15 years old.
The biggest headache in terms of the serious crimes for Ermelo Police over the festive period, were sexual assaults, which included rape, according to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman of Ermelo Police.
In three of the incidents the victims were minors aged between 10 and 15.
One girl was left alone while her mother went to town, when a male entered their house and raped her.
Another girl was raped by a family member who had since been arrested.
The third minor and friends hitched a ride with unknown men who drove with them to a house where the girl was raped by one of the men.
Ermelo Police are investigating these cases.
