Secunda donors give blood ahead of Easter weekend

The Teksa Blood Services’ clinics are open daily, and are able to collect blood even in the event of loadshedding.

SECUNDA – The Teksa branch of the South African National Blood Services (SANBS) managed to collect 136 units of blood on Human Rights Day, Thursday, 21 March.

Donors were asked to donate blood at SANBS clinics at Standerton, Kriel, Bethal and Secunda, as well as at the mobile clinics in eMbalenhle.

The collective target was 180 units.

Ms Dot Prinsloo, spokesman for the Teksa Blood Services, said the blood drive was held in preparation for the upcoming Easter weekend.
