The Eskom media desk issued a notice to correct fictitious and misleading information circulating via social and digital media about electricity interruptions in South Africa.

According to them, loadshedding is implemented as a measure of last resort to protect the national electricity system.
Customers were advised to keep checking their loadshedding schedules on the Eskom (https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za) or their local municipal websites.
