Secunda cops receive long service medals
Reservist Col Anand Naidoo was also honour for his services as a police reservist for 30 years
SECUNDA – The Secunda Police honoured local members with medals for 30 and 20 years of service on Thursday, 14 March.
The cluster commander, Brig Sifiso Cele, praised these members for their courage and loyalty to the police and the citizens of the country.
He pinned the medals on everyone at the medal parade.
The members who received medals for 30 years of service, are Lt Col Sibongile Jele, Lt Col Dumisani Majola, Capt Simon Nkosi, W/O Relda Bothma, W/O NG Geldenhuys, W/O Vumelani Ngobo, W/O SL Nkosi, W/O Thamsanda Siekeleni, W/O Eric Thusini and W/O ME Zondo.
The members who received medals for 20 years of service, are LT Col Percy Matlala, Capt Dorothy Mathibe, Sgt Sipho Khumalo and Sgt Jeremiah Ntshingila. Reservist Col Anand Naidoo was also honoured for his service as a police reservist for 30 years.
He also requested to be reissued with his 40 year medal at the medal parade.
