EVANDER – A mob from eMalenhle allegedly attacked several Nigerians in Evander today, 29 March and accused the immigrants of dealing in drugs.
According to Sgt Sibusiso Mbuli, Evander Police Station’s spokesman, the group of more than 60 people identified themselves as a forum.
They raided the Nigerians’ properties and allegedly looted their homes.
The group removed items suspected to be used in manufacturing of drugs from the houses and handed it to the police.
Sgt Mbuli said the police request anyone with crime information to report it directly to the police station or sector commanders.
“No person is allowed to take the law into their hands.”
