
eMZINONI – A gang that blew up an automated teller machine (ATM) at Milan Park, eMzinoni, during the early morning hours of Thursday, 21 March, is still at large.
Const Cynthia Mtsweni, police spokesman for eMzinoni, said the thieves used explosives to blast open the Capitec ATM at the Milan Park petrol station in Milan Park next to eMzinoni, just before 3am.
“They fled with an undisclosed amount of money before the police arrived,” said Const Mtsweni.
No arrests have yet been made and no one has come forward with information.
A Standard Bank ATM in Delmas was also bombed on the same night.
Police are not yet sure if these cases are related.
