eMbalenhle learners take part in spelling bee

The learners were given 280 words to memorise

eMBALENHLE – Learners from various primary schools in the area took part in a Spelling Bee held at the eMbalenhle Sasol Club on Friday, 12 April.

The competition was hosted and organised by the local entrepreneur Mr Khwezi Mthembu, founder and managing director of Definitive Brand Culture, in partnership with the director of Greater Heights Youth Empowerment, Mr Themba Ntombela.

More than 60 learners took part in the competition which was aimed at igniting the young minds and to promote reading.

Mr Mthembu thanked the participating schools, learners and all his sponsors.

He intends to make this an annual event.
