Gunmen threaten to burn woman with hot oil in Trichart robbery

The gang forced the workers and a customer to lie down on the kitchen floor.

TRICHARDT – A worker of Panorama Cafe in Trichardt was threatened to be doused with hot oil if she does not open the strong room for armed robbers this morning, 21 April.

A gang of five masked and gloved men entered the cafe at about 8.35am.

Two of them were armed with handguns.

They stole a computer with video cameras, cigarettes and R20 000 at the shop counter.

The robbers then went to the kitchen where they forced the woman to open the strong room.

There they snatched R18 000 and cigarettes.

The gang forced the workers and a customer to lie down on the kitchen floor.

They fled the scene on foot.
