Sgt Lucas Morena from Secunda flying squad dies in motorcycle accident
A memorial service will be held in the Sasolia Primary School’s hall at Thistle Grove, Kinross, at noon on Thursday, 13 June.
SECUNDA – Sgt Lucas Morena (42), a member of the police’s flying squad in Secunda died in a motorcycle accident on the N4 towards Nelspruit on Saturday, 8 June. He was not on duty at the time.
Sgt Morena served in the police since 2005.
A memorial service will be held in the Sasolia Primary School’s hall at Thistle Grove, Kinross, at noon on Thursday, 13 June.
He will be buried at Burgersfort on Saturday, 15 June.
Capt Shane Bhagwandeen, commander of the Secunda Flying Squad, said Sgt Morena was a dedicated and hardworking policeman who will be missed by his colleagues, family and friends.
