It was all set to go at Standerton Primary School recently for learners to participate in a soapbox rally.
An air of expectancy was felt when the different teams huddled together, each with its own distinctive name, on the rugby field.
Shouts of encouragement accompanied the teams while the principal, Mr Charles van Vuuren, and teachers watched the activities.
“It was a successful day and the learners enjoyed themselves,” Ms Melissa Beukes, one of the teachers, said. “Everybody took part in good spirits.”
