Hawks arrest man at Secunda Magistrate’s Court

The Mpumalanga Hawks arrested Mr Richard Noge (43) at Secunda Court this morning (16 July).

Mr Richard Noge was arrested outside the Secunda Magistrate’s Court this morning,  16 July.

W/O JE Lombard of the Hawks, recognised Mr Noge as a wanted person and made the arrest on charges of fraud. He is in custody at Secunda Police Station.

The police suspect that Mr Noge was at court to support Mr Andrew Hopkins Mzaliwa (55) and Ms Temwa Lisa Masoko (27) who appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court today on charges of the possession of false foreign currency.

Ms Temwa Lisa Masoko appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on charges of the possession of false foreign currency.

The two were arrested on 8 July in the CBD in Secunda and 200 counterfeit €50 notes were found in their possession.

The value of the currency is R160 000.

Middelburg Commercial Crime Unit is handling the case.

Both suspects are wanted for previous crimes.

Mr Noge is connected with a case in Tongaat in KwaZulu-Natal while Ms Masoko is connected with a fraud and counterfeit currency cases in Roodepoort and Muldersdrift.

Both suspects will be taken to court where the previous cases against them were opened.
