Andy Keys on Idols SA again

“So I didn't want to be the loser. I took a bold step to go back."

eMBALENHLE – Andile Hleza, also known as Andy Keys, is back with a bang on Idols SA.

This time around he promises to bring the Idols title home.

He auditioned in Tshwane and received a golden ticket which sent him to the next stage of the Idols SA season 15.

It is a second time that Andile (Andy Keys) entered the competition.

He is banking on his previous experience and is committed to do whatever it takes to advance to the last stage of the competition.

“I had to go back again, because I felt like I disappointed myself and my fans.

“After the previous season, I received many messages from many people across the country, encouraging me to audition again this year.

“I took their advice, that’s why I’m here.”

This energetic lad who hails from Extension 26 in eMbalenhle, vowed to make locals proud.

He is determined not to allow negativity to get him down, despite all the challenges he went through prior the audition.

Andy Keys’ nerves took over and he was quite overwhelmed to see the Idols judges, but he managed to impress them.

“I recently read a book which taught me that a failure is someone who tries once, fails, then gives up and never tries again.

“A winner is someone who fails once and rises up to try again.

“So I didn’t want to be the loser. I took a bold step to go back.

Andile is a pianist, singer and composer.

He is a versatile musician and performs various genres, such as Afro-pop, Afro-soul and gospel music.

He has shared a stage with many South African music giants, such as Nathi Mankayi, Vusi Nova, Lira, Ricky Rick, Danny K and Euphonik, and has had a joint track with Big Nuz.

The shy, self-taught musician said his father contributed a lot to his music career.

He thanked God, his family and everybody who believed in his dreams.

He promised he would make his fans proud.
