Organisations help learners to apply to universities at Career expo in Sakhile

The admission point score system, used at universities, was explained.

Organisations in Sakhile saw the high number of youth in Standerton who complete school, but do not go to universities due to several reasons.

Inqubeko Youth Development Organisation, the Sakhile Youth Empowerment Centre, Sizanawe and Activate organised a career expo at the Sakhile Hall on 20 July from 9am onwards, with more than 200 learners helped to apply to universities.

According to the organisers, it also gave learners a chance to understand why many do not get accepted to universities after the admission point score system, used at universities, was explained.

They appealed for support with their annual programme to reach more learners.
