eMZINONI – Locals recently made a shocking discovery of the remains of a fetus next to the river in Extension 5.
They contacted the police and on arrival the police found the remains on the scene.
The upper body could be seen.
Const Cynthia Mtsweni, police spokesman, urged women who want to conceal birth to follow the right procedures rather than illegal abortions.
“Police condemns such inhumane acts of dumping of fetuses.
“A child is innocent, and if a parent cannot afford to look after the child, they should follow the correct protocol.
“If you do not want the child, there are legal routes that you can follow besides illegal abortions and abandoning children in the sewers.”
