Evander Gold Mine gives libraries to four schools

An official handover event was held at eMbalenhle Primary School on Thursday, 31 October.

eMBALENHLE – Evander Gold Mine said it cares about the community in which it operates.

The company donated four libraries to various schools in the area.

An official handover event was held at eMbalenhle Primary School on Thursday, 31 October.

The other schools that benefited from this donation, are Kusasalethu Primary School, iMpumelelo Primary School and Muzimuhle Primary School.

The initiative forms part of the Evander Gold Mine’s community projects in the Govan Mbeki municipal area.

Mr Oriel Shikwambana, operations manager, said the company believes that education can transform the nation.

He said the company is committed to invest in education and other community projects.

The company was praised for the donations.
