Local chief contributes to new Secunda school

These uniforms include clothes, shoes and socks, and even backpacks.

SECUNDA – A local Ndebele chief was part of a drive to donate school uniforms to the Trichardtsfontein Primary School in Secunda on Tuesday, 5 November.

Mr Shadrack Mahlangu, chief in the Trichardt area, has been involved with the school while it was still on Trichardtsfontein Farm.

It has relocated to Secunda several months ago.

Simunye home-based care group joined hands with Mr Mahlangu and obtained donations from Pinnacle Auto BMW in Secunda to buy 16 complete school uniforms for learners in desperate need.

These uniforms include clothes, shoes and socks, and even backpacks.

Ridge Times reported about the new school in Secunda last month.

The school accommodates 385 learners from Grade R to Grade 7.

These kids are mainly children living on neighbouring farms.
