Sakhile Police issued a statement about a man who was gunned down at about 3am on 4 December.
According to their communications officer, Const Duduzile Zwane, Mr Thinky Mahamotsa, aged between 25 to 30 years, was shot in the head by an unknown suspect.
According to information at the police’s disposal, the deceased was with his two friends at Motsoako Lodge in Sakhile and one of his friends decided to go home, while the other volunteered to accompany him home.
When they were about 500m away from the lodge, the friend heard a gunshot and returned back, only to discover that Mr Mahamotsa was shot.
