Swazi woman dies in bed

Const Mtshweni helped with the repatriation.

eMZINONI – Const Cynthia Mtshweni, police spokesman, has been praised for her contribution in helping a family to repatriate their loved one to Swaziland.

This came after a young woman from Swaziland died in eMzinoni after a short illness.

According to the police the deceased was in bed with her boyfriend when she had an epileptic attack.

She allegedly collapsed and the boyfriend realised that she was no longer moving.

He went out to seek help.

Hours later the woman was declared dead by the paramedics and was taken to the mortuary.

Unfortunately, the boyfriend did not have the contacts of the deceased’s family and did not know from where she was.

Const Mtshweni intervened and helped him to find the family.

She arranged with a funeral palour to store the body and then organised with police in Oshoek to help find the family.

In no time the family was located and they identified the body.

The deceased was repatriated to Swaziland.

The family thanked Const Mtshweni for her assistance.
