Fatality at Sasol Secunda Ash water dam

SECUNDA – A service provider employee died when performing work duties at the Sasol Secunda Ash water dam on Tuesday, 7 April at around 1pm.

Although the cause of the accident is unknown to the Ridge Times, Sasol’s Mr Alex Anderson (Head of Group Media Relations), said emergency medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The police have been notified and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.

“On behalf of the company, we extend our sincere condolences,” said Mr Anderson.
