eMZINONI – A body of a murder suspect believed to be mentally disturbed was recovered in local dam earlier today.
This came after a man was stabbed and killed yesterday, 8 September.
According to the information received, the deceased was from work with his friend when they were confronted by the suspect.
Although the friend managed to run away, the suspect grabbed the first man and stabbed him to death.
It is alleged a group of people who saw the incident caught the suspect and assaulted him.
The suspect allegedly managed to escaped and ran into the quarry.
His body was found with head wounds.
Sharp objects were found in his possession.
Delta 1 Rescue, Mpumalanga Inland Water Policing, Lydenburg K9 Search & Rescue and Middelburg K9 Search & Rescue recovered the body.
