BETHAL – Members of the Bethal Police and CPF arrested the occupants of a vehicle with false registration plates tonight, 23 September.
According to Mr Jaap Pretorius, CPF chairman, a notice was circulated earlier today about the car with false registration plates.
“An alert member of the public spotted the vehicle and called us.”
The CPF members followed the suspects’ car towards Hendrina while Bethal Police alerted the Hendrina police.
The vehicle was eventually pulled off at Hendrina and the suspects were taken into custody and transported back to Bethal.
Their car is also at the Bethal Police Station and a case has been opened.
Mr Pretorius thanked everyone involved for their help.
“I specifically want to thank the community member and the Bethal and Hendrina police for their speedy reaction.”
