Breyten Police apprehends two people for allegedly selling drugs from their hair salon

Breyten Police visited the house and found the accused in possession of drugs, which include nyaope, heroin and rock tablets.

Breyten Police arrested a 27-year-old man and his female friend at Kwazanele informal settlement in Breyten in connection with dealing in drugs.

According to Sgt Thabo Mashegoane, spokesman for Breyten Police, they received information from the community that the two were allegedly operating a hair salon from their house, and using it to sell drugs.

Breyten Police visited the house and found the accused in possession of drugs, which include nyaope, heroin and rock tablets.

The estimated street value of the drugs is about R4 500.

The duo was arrested for being in possession of drugs and appeared in Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 16 September.

Sgt Mashegoane urged the community of Breyten to report any criminal activity to the police.
