ProYouth in Lebohang hosts essay competition
The title for the essay is: "What will you do for your Kasi?" and the deadline is Wednesday, 30 September.

LEBOHANG – The ProYouth Foundation (PYF) invites local youths to take part in an essay competition.
The aim of the competition is to encourage the youth to think of ways they can transform their community.
The title for the essay is: “What will you do for your Kasi?” and the deadline is Wednesday, 30 September.
Entries can be submitted by email to pyf.proyouth@gmail.com. Mr Owen Sibande, organiser, said they believe this will encourage the youth to consider and think about how they can bring about changes that will positively impact the socio-economic conditions they experience in the area.
“We have good prices for the winners. The winner of the winning essay will walk away with R1 500, R1 000 for second place and R500 for third place and we will also have other surprise prizes for the rest of the entrants. We will also use these entries to select the mentees for the 2021 mentorship program, so it is important that the entrants give this entry their best shot.”
Speaking about the organisation, Ms Zandile Sihlali, founder, said PYF was founded in 2018 to aid the youth of Lebohang/ Leandra to undertake projects outside the formal schooling system which will enable them to obtain skills necessary for their future. She said the foundation specialises in mentorship, training and life skills development.
“Our mission is to inspire, empower and educate young people by guiding them and to provide them with resources that will empower them to be change makers that will contribute meaningfully to their community.”
