Audrey keeps girl learners in school during exams in schools near Ermelo

She also visited Warbuton Combined School and donated 73 sanitary towels on 2 October.

Ms Audrey Maleka, a member of parliament, donated sanitary towels to Camden Combined School on 28 September.

During the visit Ms Maleka monitored the school’s compliance with Covid-19 regulations.

Ms Maleka donated a total of 36 sanitary towels as part of the Keep a Girl Child in School During Exams Project.

She also visited Warbuton Combined School and donated 73 sanitary towels on 2 October.

This formed part of the project as well.

Ms Maleka said: “Some girl learners miss school, because of their menstrual cycle and will make up excuses because they can not afford to buy sanitary towels.”

This, she said, is why she began the project.
