Laerskool Ermelo learners back on par with school work

“We have the new amended CAPS curriculum that teachers are working with in making sure learners are up to par with their school work.”

Ms Claudia Lottering, teacher of Laerskool Ermelo shared the progress of learners with the Covid-19 regulations on 5 October.

According to Ms Lottering the school is coping well with the regulations and learners are back on track with their work.

She said, the learners are adhering to the regulations as teachers are very strict about sanitising before and after every period, learners must have their masks on and keep social distancing.

“We have the new amended CAPS curriculum that teachers are working with to ensure learners are on par with their school work.”

According to her, the challenges that are being faced are the learners being divided into two groups.

“Teachers see the learners every second week instead of having all the learners present at the same time as per the custom.”
